Today, May 14, 2015, at 40 days after the resurrection, the Christians Catholics around the world celebrate the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives in the presence of apostles and two angels.
The angels have talked to his disciples about the second coming of Jesus in order to lessen the pain of separation.
From the Gospel of Luke, we learn that while the Savior blessed the disciples, he ascended to heaven, being unseen in everyone’s eyes.
The meaning of the Ascension of the Lord is not just about the phenomenon itself, as about the celestial exaltation of Jesus Christ who raised through the resurrection at the right hand of God, reigns as King.
